We had to say goodbye to Fizer this morning. He's at the dog party in heaven as Hudson put it. We have no doubt he was ready to go.
Over the past 13 years, Fizer licked the sweat off my legs after running, licked tears as they rolled down my face, and licked our plates clean as if it was his job. He was the ring-bearer at our wedding (which was 10 years ago tomorrow). He slept next to the crib when both Hudson and Kimbal came home and let them sit on him, cover him with stickers, and snuggled up with them in bed.
